The FBI has released new photos of seven men who are wanted in connection with the beating of DC Metropolitan police officer Michael Fanone during the riots at the US Capitol.

Fanone, 40, told CNN in a recent interview that he was in a narrow hallway when the rioters dragged him out of the building, slammed him to the ground and stripped him of his gear.

The 20-year veteran of the force, who was also tased and beaten, remembered fearing for his life when he heard some of the rioters wanted to kill him with his own weapon.

“Some guys started getting a hold of my gun and they were screaming out, ‘Kill him with his own gun,’” Fanone told the network.

The father of four said he had no control of the mob and felt he wanted to use deadly force, but he thought he’d be killed if he did.

Fanone recalled a group of rioters stepped in to protect him until he was rescued.

“Thank you, but f— you for being there,” he said of those who protected him.

Fellow Metropolitan Police Officer Daniel Hodges, who was also assaulted, was seen on video being crushed in a doorway by pro-Trump rioters inside the Capitol.

Along with assaulting law enforcement personnel, the seven men in the FBI’s poster are accused of unlawful entry into the Capitol building.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the FBI’s toll-free tipline at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-8000225-5324) to verbally report tips.
