A hoax device set up to look like a bomb was discovered inside a Brooklyn Home Depot early Friday, authorities said.
An employee called police after spotting the device in the hardware section of the store around 7:40 a.m., authorities said.
By around 10:30 a.m., the NYPD confirmed that it was a hoax meant to look like an explosive. It was taken to the lab for testing, cops said.
The incident comes weeks after a hoax bomb was discovered inside a Tesla abandoned on a ramp to the Queens Place Mall parking garage.
Louis Shenker, 22, surrendered to police for allegedly placing the device.
