Ex-NFL player Kevin Ware to be questioned about missing girlfriend: report

Ex-NFL player Kevin Ware is expected to be questioned about his girlfriend’s suspicious disappearance after being arrested for violating a court order.

The 40-year-old former San Francisco 49ers tight end was taken into custody by US Marshals Friday in Texas, after he allegedly failed to report for bond supervision in connection with previous gun and drug charges, according to Houston’s KPRC 2.

Investigators told the local station they intend to speak to Ware about the mysterious disappearance of 29-year-old Taylor Pomaski, who was last seen at a house party with him in April.

Harris County Sheriff’s Office homicide detectives are investigating the case, which they suspect involves foul play, according to local reports.

Pomaski’s family members are glad Ware is back in jail and hope the new development will lead to a break in the case, according to the outlet.

“There could be others that were around the house that night. I’m not for certain, but Kevin knows exactly what happened,” Eric Zulegar, a former boyfriend of Pomaski who has been in close contact with the woman’s mother, told the station.

Zulegar told KHOU that his ex-girlfiend’s relationship with the former football pro was toxic and abusive.

Taylor Pomaski was last seen at her home in Texas on April 25, 2021, according to authorities.

“Taylor is still missing. We still need to find Taylor,” he reportedly said.

A missing persons organization said it had traveled 150 miles from Houston to search for the woman, the article said.

“This certainly is in no way going to have a happy ending,” Tim Miller, of the organization Texas EquuSearch, previously said about the case, according to local reports.
