The mysterious Yankees season goes on.
After the cat on the field debacle game Monday, the Yankees ended up taking two of three from the lowly Orioles. They welcome the Mariners to the Bronx next as they inch closer and closer to the second AL wild card. Is this fool’s gold? Or are the Yankees going on a playoff push?
To answer those questions, we bring you a new episode of the “Pinstripe Pod” with Chris Shearn and Yankees legend Jeff Nelson, featuring a chat with The Post’s Ken Davidoff.
Pinstripe Pod Opening Segment with Chris, Jeff & Jake:
- ORIOLES SERIES: Is it fool’s gold with the Yankees beating a bad Orioles team? Why did they send Greg Allen down? Why Jonathan Davis over Allen? Shearn goes on an epic rant on this one. The guys get into analytics hurting the game. We also get into the cat on the field on Monday.
- COMING UP: Will be a close series with the Mariners. Yankees need to keep winning series. Blue Jays are better and right on their tails.
Ken Davidoff Interview:
NY Post baseball columnist
- PLAYOFFS: Yankees have underachieved, but expect them to be in the race. Can they actually win the AL East?
- GIL/ROTATION: Luis Gil was fantastic in his debut. How does the rotation shake out here with injuries/COVID cases? Why did the Yankees acquire Andrew Heaney? Ken says because of his FIP.
