I stayed in apartment 1 at this propery for four months in 2016 and overall I would say that my stay was fairly pleasant. The location of the property is both a blessing and a curse - the Kings Way generates a lot of traffic noise but also means that the amazing South Melbourne Cafés were a short walk away and there were also quite a few bus and tram line connections nearby. The room is a bit of an awkward shape and is fairly small but not too uncomfortable. There is a fairly well equipped kitchen with gas cook top but no oven. They also had a seperate fridge and freezer, toaster, microwave and electric kettle. There is also a washer/dryer in the unit and lift access to the rooms. I personally struggled a lot with the noise generated by the other guests in the building and had to buy ear plugs to sleep. Guests I had over similarly had issues with the level of noise. The flooring used on the communal balcony creates VERY loud banging noises when people walk on it and access hours to it isn't restricted so be prepared to be woken up at 3am by other guests having a smoking break. Similarly the front door to the unit does not block noise from the communal stair well. I feel it is also important to note that there is only one small window that you can open and ventilation in the apartment is a bit of an issue. The air conditioner didn't work when I was there during winter but an oil heater was provided. The room felt very warm during spring so I would hope the air con is working again for any guests staying over summer. Overall the room was well equipped, conveniently located and fairly comfortable but beware of noise and poor ventilation.
