I had an overall positive experience. My wife and I were warmly greeted and served by Gary at Kotara branch in December 2017. He was patient to listen to our needs.
Promotion during that time was fantastic as we had 50% off on our white sofa and coffee table.
Delivery was on our promised date, we wanted our furnitures to be delivered to our newly built home 2 months after our purchase in store. Unfortunately our sofa didnt fit through our staircase as our staircase was narrow. Coincidentally there was a construction going on in our site and we borrowed one of their "machine" to lift our sofa to our balcony. It was funny we had alot of helping hand that includes site manager, other constructions guys and Nick Scali delivery guys too (one of them had a sense of humour so that's a bonus point)!
Overall our nick scali experience was great!
When I entered the store at Kotara I was impressed with the overall presentation.
I was soon approached by a sales person named Gary. After a few questions, he had an idea of what I was looking for.
With his calmness and knowledge I felt confident with purchasing a lounge from Nick Scali.
KOTARA STAFF AWESOME - DISGUSTED IN NICK SCALI CUSTOMER SERVICE HEAD OFFICE. PURCHASED TWO ITEMS FROM YOUR KOTARA STORE - A BEAUTIFUL CONCRETE DINING TABLE ORDER#MN53208 & A SWIVEL CHAIR LOUNGE ORDER #MN53207. THE TABLE WAS DELIVERED AFTER PAYING $120.00 DELIVERY FEE. UPON INSPECTION, WE FOUND 'CONCRETE' FINISH CHIPPING OFF. THEN FOUND WITH A SIMPLE FEEL WITH A FINGERNAIL, CONFIRMED THE ENTIRE FINISH PEELING OFF. THE CONCRETE TABLE HAD BEEN PAINTED! THIS WAS NOT WHAT WE PURCHASED. WE PURCHASED A CONCRETE TABLE FOR A FAMILY OF FIVE. NOT A PAINTED TABLE THAT HAS A PEELING OFF FINISH. WE CONTACTED THE STORE, & HEAD OFFICE. A SENIOR STAFF MEMBER ATTENDED OUR HOME FOR A PHYSICAL INSPECTION, IT WAS HERE WE WERE ADVISED THE TABLES ARE NOW ALL PAINTED PRIOR TO DELIVERY. WELL, THIS WAS NOT WHAT WE WANTED, OR WHAT WE PURCHASED. WE PURCHASED A CONCRETE FINISH TABLE. NOT A CONCRETE TABLE WITH A PAINTED FINISH. IT IS NOT THE CONSUMERS FAULT THE MANUFACTURER DECIDES TO TAKE IT UPON THEMSELVES TO ALTER ITEMS THAT ARE NOT ALTERED IN STORE, THEREFORE, THE CONSUMER RECEIVING GOODS NOT THE SAME AS ITEMS INSTORE.
WE REQUEST FOR THE $120.00 DELIVERY FEE TO BE REFUNDED TO US, OR TAKE THIS AMOUNT FROM OUR EXISTING ORDER, STILL AWAITING DELIVERY. IT IS DEEMED UNFAIR TO THINK YOUR CUSTOMERS SHOULD PAY $120.00 FOR SOMETHING THEY NEVER PURCHASED IN THE FIRSTPLACE. WE WERE SOLD A PRODUCT THAT DID NOT MEET EXPECTATIONS, AND IS UNSATISFACTORY TO OUR REQUIREMENTS.
WE EXPECT A RESOLUTION TO OUR CONCERN. LETS NOT FORGET NICK SCALI ALSO ADVISED US ON THE DAY OF INSPECTION, THEY ACCEPT FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS, AS THE FINISH IS DIFFERENT TO THAT ON DISPLAY IN THE SHOWROOM & WHAT WAS PURCHASED. CONSUMER LAW STATES IF A PRODUCT HAS A PROBLEM THAT WOULD HAVE PREVENTED PURCHASE IF KNOWN ABOUT, IF IT DOESNT DO WHAT THE BUSINESS SAID IT WOULD (NOT BE PAINTED OR PEELING IN THIS INSTANCE), IS SIGNIFICANTLY DIFFERENT FROM THE SAMPLE OR DESCRIPTION (ie: THE SHOWROOM TABLE WAS NOT THE SAME COLOUR OR PAINTED) OR WHAT WAS ASKED FOR CANNOT BE EASILY FIXED (NOT EASILY FIXED, AS THE SURFACE OF THIS TABLE IS PAINTED).IT IS NOT US WHO HAVE DONE THE WRONG THING, IT IS NICK SCALI HEAD OFFICE ACCEPTING FUNDS FROM UNSUSPECTING CUSTOMERS TO ONLY THEN DELIVER SOMETHING NOT PURCHASED BY THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE
