Served by Sharyn - team leader. Asked for a family ticket. Put through tickets at full price without advising me there was no special until after I asked why the price was so high. Also asked for 2 kids popcorn and drink deals usually $5. Also put these through at $10 each as small meal deals. Did not tell me there was no kids special on as it's not the school holidays anymore. Just lazy rude service not to advise customers of the fact there's no special and just charging the full prices. I asked why she had put through the kids popcorn deals as small popcorn and drink deals without telling me of the price difference and she shrugged and said there no difference.

Ace Cinema Midland is a popular place within Midland Gate Shopping Centre. It has excellent facilities, several cinemas and shows a good range of movies including 3D ones.

The gold class new red leather recliner seats are absolutely amazing! Highly recommend!! Unfortunately, the whole “gold class” experience is ruined by their staff. The staff are poorly trained. You walk in expecting an amazing, classy experience which you do get by looking around the room, but their staff are so poorly trained that it lets down the whole vibe. They don’t know how to properly serve customers. My partner and I received the wrong meal half way through the movie before they realised they had given us the wrong food. No staff member seems to know how to smile either. DO NOT RECOMMEND THE STICKY DATE PUDDING. $12 and you receive a microwaved heated blob of sticky date and then one little scoop of ice cream and cream. Would not pay more than $5! Rip-off.

Tried the gold lounge for the first time and it was great, the seats alone were worth the extra money spent. Food was overpriced as per all cinema food but wasn't bad apart from that. Only real gripe is that one of the staff decided to start collecting up the empty glasses in the last 10mins of the movie and wasn't making much of an effort to be quiet which was distracting.

Especially good if you have an ace card. Free popcorn and drinks at gold class. All the popular movies are on at this cinema.
