Sadly this hotel is just not at up for the numbers of patrons they get on the weekend. We used to visit quite often but we won't bother any longer. The wait for drinks can be appalling, let alone to order food. While the food is good, it's not unique or brilliant enough to wait for, if you can even get a table to eat it!

Thoroughly pleasant. The view could be improved with childrens play structure moved more to the side. The live band added to the great atmosphere. The weather of course made the afternoon.

What a great little pub! The publican was very sociable and we had a little chat about the area (I lived there at a young teen). I stopped in to dip my toe so to speak and will be back for a meal very soon. This is a real pub, not a bar, which I love!

What a disappointment yesterday. After 30 plus years of visiting here, we had a horrible day. Rude bar staff (Maureen) obviously thought checking a keno ticket was below her with a roll of the eyes and deep sigh and rude when asked for another ticket please? Of course it was Sunday and we were prepared for the usual wait 45 minutes to an hour for food only to have our ribs come out cold, not luke warm, but like they had come straight out of the fridge. So another wait for them to be heated. To add insult to all of this when one of our party went to order coffees and cake, she was told to come back in half an hour. I approached the duty manager to relate all of the above with his promise of getting back to me. He never did. And for all the money that gets spent there it's way past time the toilets had an upgrade. They are in dire need of cleaning up.
