Never trust your belongings to this company! I had a terrible experience.
Broken and damaged furniture, boxes not properly identified, terms of policy not honored, paid for private 26' truck to transport belongs deliver in a Uhaul truck!
Owner is disinterested in my complaints.

First and foremost i want to thank Al's and say that they under promised and over delivered. My family and I recently moved from NY to FL and everything went better then expected. They set a date to pick up all the stuff and were here on the dot. They picked up all the stuff and were very helpful in wrapping everything nice and gentle. They then worked with us on the price, best price we got throughout the tri state area. I was told that the shipment would take a few weeks and it got there in 6 days. Once it arrived they were very helpful in placing everything nice and gentle and making sure everything was good.
I usually dont write reviews but i felt that i should write one for Als because this is a tough transition and when you get service thats above and beyond your expectation they deserve their merit.
Moving forward i would definitely recommend them to our friends that will join us down here in paradise.
Thank you again.

I don't normally write reviews (let alone bad ones) because I know how the business world can be. My experience, however, must be shared before someone invests a large sum of money in this service.
I have to echo some shared sentiments on this company and Al himself. I recently moved our family out of the NY area and had to pack/store our stuff with Al's Company for 3 months. Our realtor in Westchester recommended Al because she knew him personally and he would "give us a good price and be great with customer service." Both were far from the truth.
The quote he gave us for moving to Minnesota was outrageous and I quickly found 5-6 reputable companies in the area who gave cheaper quotes. Meanwhile Al proceeded to belittle the other companies and tell me "beware" of the horror stories.
Before he hung up the phone, after I asked where the rugs were, he uttered "Screw You" not knowing that I heard that. Absolutely unprofessional and out of line. Paying customers should never be treated with such disrespect.
I hired a different company to come pick our stuff up and deliver it across country for me. The only positive I will say.... was Al's son, Joey, who worked in the warehouse and made a true effort to be professional and courteous. He initially packed our house and also helped load everything with a coworker when the other moving company came to ship it.
Overall, I'm very disappointed in my experience. When someone pays an enormous amount of money you would hope to be treated as though they truly value your business. I'm not recommending anyone to use them.

Great movers! Al's just moved us for the 3rd time in the past 12 years and each time worked out smoothly. The head man James was also part of the team from our previous move 5 years ago and told us that most of his coworkers have been with Al's for several years. They are true professionals and Al and Sandy in the office are a pleasure to deal with!

I hired Al's to move a heavy piece of precious heirloom furniture from White Plains to Florida. It arrived as promised, in perfect condition and at a fair price.
This is a family operation that cares. If you value your goods and want them treated well and to arrive as promised, I would recommend Al's Moving.
