Courteous, on-time, and thorough are the best ways to describe our moving experience. Joel made sure that every single piece of furniture and every box arrived ahead of schedule and in perfect condition. The only challenge I had was scheduling the move as soon as I preferred - this was only because Smith Dray Line is in high demand due to their service and reputation. Hopefully we won't have to move again anytime soon but if so, we'll certainly be repeat customers of SDL.

Smith Dray Line was one of 2 movers that I had "interviewed" to move my deceased mother's items from Asheville, NC to Elmira, NY. I was very impressed with the level of detail provided to me by Sarah Gurley as well as her compassion over my recent loss. While the quotes were pretty close, I chose to go with Sarah and her team based on her level of comfort and experience. I was not disappointed!! The packers came in and were very patient with me as I went through years of memories and yes, junk. They patiently helped me whittle it down to an amount that was manageable. And Kenny, the driver, was just as patient and careful with Mom's treasures. All arrived in Elmira with out any damage and in the time frame promised! I would highly recommend Smith Dray Line. They are a well organized team that really knows what they are doing.

I recently had to move my parents. They had a lot of "Stuff" they had collected through the years. They also were nervous about their stuff getting to where it needed to go. Smith Dray line was a pleasure to work with. They spent a lot of time making sure all the details were taken care of and that we were all very comfortable with the move. I highly recommend Smith Dray Line

Poor service, understaffed, HORRIBLE management. The lead mover on the crew complained the entire time about everything and was argumentative - VERY unprofessional. They failed to crate large, important items, such as a marble table (which broke), king mattress (which they folded over and tied like a sandwich), family heirlooms (which were damaged) and so forth. The manager, Joel Gillespie, never bothered to personally respond to any of our complaints - a complete lack of leadership and epitome of unprofessional behavior. I DO NOT recommend this company!
