Had a client take me for lunch.. Wonderful food and atmosphere.. Only drawback was the parking with all the rain.. Love our Courtenay weather.. Mmm or not.

Great home made style food in a hobbit house like restaurant. Very relaxed atmosphere.

Ruben sandwich was made with warm montreal style smoked meat. It was lean, flavorful and served bedded with sauerkraut and cheese. It was served in a basket with thick cut potato chips. I also had iced chai tea with milk. Everything was perfect. Laid back quiet place to enjoy a beverage or a light meal. Beautifully renovated building amongst the old chestnut trees just on the edge of downtown Courtenay. Service was great.

Great interior. Good food but sometimes a bit of a wait, but worth it.
