About the business

McDonald's is an American fast food company, founded in 1940 as a restaurant operated by Richard and Maurice McDonald, in San Bernardino, California, United States. They rechristened their business as a hamburger stand, and later turned the company into a franchise, with the Golden Arches logo being introduced in 1953 at a location in Phoenix, Arizona. In 1955, Ray Kroc, a businessman, joined the company as a franchise agent and proceeded to purchase the chain from the McDonald brothers. McDonald's had its original headquarters in Oak Brook, Illinois, but moved its global headquarters to Chicago in early 2018.

The siblings Richard and Maurice McDonald opened in 1940 the first McDonald's at 1398 North E Street at West 14th Street in San Bernardino, California but it was not the McDonald's recognizable today; Ray Kroc made changes to the brothers' business to modernize it.

This HAS !! to be the slowest service of any McDonalds in the world. I had my car shut off like I was waiting for the ferries just to get to the window to pay. never mind actually getting the food. if you only get 30 min for your lunch break DO NOT GO HERE. this is written after months of frustration not one experience. is there even a manager there????? #theworst #notlovinit.

Worst mcdonalds ever! Around 11:30-12:30am i Waited in drive thru for 20mins and then once i get to the window, the guy told me to pull over to the side for just two large fries?!??? and took another 6mins. If you know its busy be more efficient! I get off work for these fries. And another. I order a caeser salad on a different day and i get sweet balsamic sauce and garden salad(no bacon). I wanted a refund and the lady told me she "gave me the right salad" at least let me know you dont have CAESER SALAD DRESSING and the build for the salad isnt actually a caeser. I LOVE McDonald's.. please give customers what they want. The company pays you to make it right and good service. Im a person with patience, but this is outrageous.

Absolutely horrible. There were only about 4 cars in front of me and it took me 20 mins to get the food. Checked the food when I arrived home and the Mcmuffin was missing an egg, orange juice was 80% water, hashbrowns were so wet & soggy that the package was tearing apart. By far the worst experience from Mcdonalds, get more staff or something.

A modern look and feel and a pretty efficient drive-thru.

Slow! Only want a Coffee? Better to go to starbucks across the parking lot and get a frilly foo foo thing. Because at any of the Comox Courtenay places youll wait on average (large coffee and a large tea) for 5 minutes. FIVE MINUTES FOR A FLIPPING COFFEE. whats worse is that when asked why it takes so long for a coffee they say because we had to brew a fresh pot... I must be the worlds most unluckey man because I used to get coffee here a lot untill I started timing from the time I payed to recept of goods. I woukd say easly over 30 times I have been told that "we had to make a fresh pot" it is their go to response for we do not have an excuse. Try talking to a manager. Nope, no help there. I asked where I could make a complaint because they gave you an expired by a full month parfait after waiting 20 min in the wait stall. 20 EFFING MINUTES FOR SOMETHING THAT THEY JUST GRABBED OUT OF THE FREEZER!! There is no prep required for them. Stuart (owner) you should be ashamed of your teams starting from the top and think about having a retraining session with your managers in regards to where complaints should be lodged. Im still waiting to hear back from one of your managers with an awnser its been 3 months.
