Never dealt with anyone on the phone or reserved in advance, so I can't speak to that. The tenting sites are not awesome. 12, 13, & 14 are especially bad being on a back lane with a street lamp. The showers are coin op but are also hot and have good pressure. The gates are closed and locked at 11pm so bear that in mind if you're going to be out late. Otherwise the place was decent enough. Good for the one night stopover I was making. Would be better as a family with an RV, though really, you might be better off going 15-30mins out of town and hitting up a more remote campground.

The tenting spots are small but sufficient size, the spots are a little close together. But the facilities are awesome, the booking was easy and the lady was polite. As we were leaving we discovered that one of our car's windshield that we had parked in the designated area had been smashed in. The front desk lady was very unhelpful... The maintainance individual was helpful in giving me some tough plastic to cover my rear windshield.... No cameras are present to show the parking lot so I could not even know who smashed in my windshield. Very disappointed. Ruined the weekend and the rest of the month for me.

I dont know why lots of people are unhappy in their reviews we had a good time. we showed up late about 10pm and got a spot in a far corner very private and big trees covering us from the light rain and the lady at the front desk was super nice to us. The main office has a bunch of stuff for rent and sale so if you forgot something they got you covered like us we needed fire starter. I wish we knew they had teepees. if we come again we will book one of those since they were all in use the night we showed up. Would definitely stay there again.

I have been planning a family trip to Drumheller for the upcoming August Long Weekend. We would only be in town from July 30-Aug 1. We took our time to review the campgrounds to see which one suited our little family best. I was very excited to reserve and book our site with the River Grove, however that excitement quickly turned around when I rudely informed I was unable to book unless I booked and paid for the Friday. I have never been asked to pay for a site that I was not occupying. I find this policy to be very cheap and very rude. As other site didn't seem to have a problem with my needs, I will happily take my family and money else where.

Great campground. Spacious, close to the spray park, beautiful 100 year old cottonwood trees all over the campground. Just remove the railway ties and improve the website/reservation system and it would be 5 stars
