Two night stay, great location on the water and very private. The three cottages are very well kept and the owners were very friendly and accommodating all weekend long. The owners young daughter sold wood on site which kept the campfire going. Also, the proceeds from the wood sold goes to charity which was great!

We were looking for a "getaway from it all" experience and happened upon Sundog Retreat while browsing the internet. We cannot express how much we loved this place. It met every need that we hoped for. In particular: 1) It was quiet. They had all the amenities like satellite TV and WiFi but we decided to disconnect for a couple of days and enjoy the silence. 2) It was dead of winter, gas fireplace was perfect for heating and giving the ambiance of a rustic life. 3) there was a fully serviced kitchen, we didn't need to bring anything except the food we wanted to eat. 4) our favourite thing was then" tickle trunk" We found a puzzle and spent hours just playing. 5) it was close to Parry Sound, so we were able to hop over for some fine dining at the local restaurants when we wanted too. Overall it was a beatiful, modern rustic cabin that we cannot wait to go back to. Next time in the summer though.I really want to swim in the lake and do some canoeing and kayaking (provided, of course). Thanks Sundog Retreat
