A public area masquerading as a private cottage retreat. The owners friends and family come and go as they please and those who pay to rent are forced to adapt and live around them. The parade of vehicles from unknowns is constant. Many of the cottages are decrepit and close to falling off their moorings. The owners charge you for the use of their barbecues, which should be complementary. There are tennis courts, but the owners don't set up the net. Some cottages had intermittent problems with their toilets. Any mention of walkable nearby trails is misleading. This resort earns a second star for its nice sandy beach area, but the primary issue, in my mind, is that you're paying private cottage money for what feels like a public area.

We come here every year for a family reunion. We come for the people not the cottages. The beach area is a highlight. The facilities are old and falling apart. However, the owners are planning to renovate.

The resort is located on Deep Bay of the Georgian Bay. The cabins are cozy, have the essentials and are clean. Big sandy beach and great place to stay with the family.

Inverlochy is a great cottage resort for family reunions. The central beach, fire pit, volleyball court, and sauna are all highlights. The cottages are a bit dilapidated, but the price reflects that.
