For years we ate brunch here with my late father in law. One of his favorite places in Old San Juan. He always ordered the eggs Benedict.
We will always go back to keep the tradition alive.

Beautiful courtyard atmosphere with food that was just ok for lunch. Churrasco and fish tacos were good but a far cry from the other meals we've had in San Juan.

Its in the heart of Old San Juan, near the forts and walking distance to everything! It has the best preserved architectural elements and beauty that is breathtaking. It is next to the beautiful church and the rooms have an additional glass door to block out noise from the inner courtyard. Hotels in PR are not cheap and this is a great room and ambiance for the money. I have been to PR 4times and stayed at the Ritz for 3; completely overrated and not worth the money but El Convento has stolen my heart, I will not stay any place else when I come back.
