I always look forward to visiting Genesis on my visits to San Juan. The food is wonderful as are the Bushwackers! The staff is always expedient and polite. They make their own homemade hot sauces and sell them. I can't wait to visit this coming week, to eat, drink, and stock up on more hot sauce!

Had the mofongo with chicken and got sick! Empanadillas were mediocre, not impressed by the fresh milkshakes. Service was poor. Do not recommend! Overpriced as well!

Delicious Puerto Rican dishes and inexpensive drinks in a cozy setting. Order any of the Mofongos and you'll be happy!

Stopped in here for lunch while in old San Juan. Our waitress was rude. When we sat down, she brought over menus, and took our drink order, then left us for about 10 minutes. When she came back, I asked if she had any specials as we noticed that all the other patrons were getting lunch special menus. She then handed us lunch menus and asked if we were ready to order within 5 seconds of handing the menus to us. When we were about to start giving the order she walked away and left us again for another 5 minutes. She returned and we placed our order. as we were waiting, we noticed about 4 other tables that had come in and ordered after us start getting their food. We've now been waiting 30 minutes for 3 lunch specials. Not once does she come back and check on us during the meal nor can she be bothered to bring us our check. It was like she couldn't be bothered to serve us or be even remotely decent to us at all. One of the other waiters was kind enough to check on us and get us our check towards the end of the meal and he was working his butt off with other tables. If we would have had him as our server I highly doubt I would have had this awful experience at this restaurant.

DO NOT ORDER PERNIL FOR TURKEY. THE BEANS TASTED LIKE CAN BEANS AND WATERY. My tostones were brought after my food was half done. Her tip was $2.00. Go to Raices real PR food.
