I've been going to this property for over 25 years, long before RC took it over. It's a very special piece of land with a rich history. I was curious to see how RC changed it, expecting a great hotel but also expecting the character of the land to be diminished. I was half right. The accommodations are magnificent even by RC standards. But the buildings blend into the natural beauty of the property. And the history was respected. Service is impeccable. Restaurants are a delight. We really loved that employees were encouraged to add native dishes and personal family touches and recipes to the menu. The result is a unique combination we never tired of. We had a couple off-property activities planned, but after the first day we blew them off. You won't want to leave. Oh - the golf courses, especially the ocean course, are among my faves in the world. Worth every penny of the price. 5 stars aren't enough

We visited in June and are planning our wedding here. You would think a Ritz-Carlton brand would deliver an exceptional level of service for such an event. Sadly, this has not been our experience. We have had a really poor experience dealing with the sales and events people who work here. It took nearly 3 months to finalize a contract. We finally received a contract and have paid our deposit but after another month still have not heard from a catering manager or any events person regarding our wedding. It's been an uphill battle and we fear we and our guests will be disappointed if this is the level of service we should expect on our wedding weekend. This is supposed to be a fun and memorable experience but Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, has made it nothing short of stressful and disappointing thus far. I hope I can revisit this review with only positive things to say after it is all said and done but as of now, brides be advised.

You can't describe this resort with words. Not just the beauty of the resort buts everyone working on property, thank you Kayla and Monica best house keepers you guys made me smile every time I entered my room. I am sorry but it's very difficult to put in words the hospitality, landscape, and the views we have experienced. If i knew how to play golf I would be on the courses with my husband. Make sure you do the spa.

Nicest resort I've ever been to. 10 for 10 would recommend.
