Dollar Rent-A-Car

BEWARE!! Foolishly didn't read the reviews prior to booking online. Terrible SCAM as numerous other reviewers are stating. Agent added on a bunch of "mandatory" taxes, fees, insurance to the point of DOUBLING the cost of our already paid for rental. She wouldn't (couldn't) explain the cause of these additional costs. We thankfully decided to walk away after 12 hours of travel time and at 9:00pm. We were offered the fees being cut in half as we were walking away. Back at the airport we got a great car from Alamo without any hassle or added fees (and less than Dollar's original price!).

This place is the worst. There are so many rental places at the airport that are better than this one. You have to wait for a shuttle to take you 10 minutes to and from the airport- the shuttle stop is unmarked and random. The line to return your car is impossibly long, don't get stranded and then miss your flight by renting from Dollar.

Stay away from this car rental company. Read the reviews. Similar to other customers, I was charged all these fees on top of the regular car rental fare and then I called, more than five times, to speak with a supervisor and the supervisor was never available. Big Scam! Stay clear of Dollar Car Rental in Carolina, Puerto Rico.

Womyn behind counter was nice, booked car online, was quoted $80 and when I picked up car it was $190. fees, more taxes, prepay tolls etc. not happy with Dollar. I read all the small print, it said nothing

Staff was really nice, however they tell you a certain price online and then when you get there they add a ton of fees and tell you the tolls don't take cash which is false... the only thing tolls dont take is change only bills...other than that my car rental was new and I enjoyed it
