Da House Hotel in Old San Juan Puerto Rico
Located in the heart of Old San Juan, above legendary cafe teatro The Nuyorican Cafe, we offer clean, comfortable, eclectic accomodations in a friendly, vibrant setting that is reminiscent of the character of hostels in great European cities like Amsterdam, Paris or Barcelona.

We spent two nights in this vintage colonial hotel. It is managed by caring personable people who were willing to help us get around in Old town and attended to our comfort. The hotel is nicely restored and the art deco furnishings are exciting. There is no elevator or televisions in the rooms so be prepared to climb stairs and go out to find your own entertainment. We walked all around the neighborhood and only had a short 5 block walk to the Cruise ship pier at the end of our stay. If you are looking for an authentic place to stay in Puerto Rico, not a cookie-cutter hotel, Make your reservation at Da House.

Location, location, location!
Small rooms, tiny bathroom, comfy bed.
No elevator. The guy on the front desk help us with our luggage an was very nice.
Needs improvement in cleaning. Beautiful art works from different local and international artists.
Is perfect to rest and recharge for the next day.

Stayed here some years ago, and had a muy rich experience! Great location, though not for those who want to sleep all night — as the party goes on till morning light. The rooms are like old European hotels. They are not humongous, but who cares?! Your'e there to party and sight see, not stay in your room! I want to revisit. If you go, choose the rooms that have the Juliet balconies.

Beautiful place but very limited to your stay. All you pay for is the experience to stay in old San Juan. Water and electricity is shut off for a day at a time. I couldn't shower then another day I had no electricity. The staff said it was the city doing it but after my research I found out I was not told the truth. Do not get thirsty because they provide nothing as even a glass of water. If you need an iron you have to go requested at the desk. When I went to ask questions of why the room lack so much all I got was confused faces with shrugged shoulders. Like I said beautiful room with a bed, dresser and chair that is all you get for 135.00 nt.

The bed was comfortable and the staff wanted to be helpful. The room is bare: no closet, no dresser, no tv. The only bathroom amenity is bar soap, and pack your hair dryer.
There is a night club in the basement, and it is loud until 3 or 4 am.
There is no elevator and no bellman.
The place is comfortable and clean, just bare bones. If you don't expect all the amenities found at most hotels, you may enjoy your stay.
