Let's see where to begin... We did not stay here but went on a 2 hour "guided" horseback ride after a referral from a local. (you'll see why I put "guided" in quotations soon) The woman I spoke with on the phone to book the day before was nice but that's where it ended. We got there about 15min earlier than we needed to, not on purpose of course we were just early and we're fine with relaxing until they were ready for us. An older woman w/ white hair (don't know her name) who seemed to be running the place made a snarky comment about us being early and then continued to bad mouth the woman who took our reservation on the phone w/ another employee as apparently our weight class was not put in the computer properly. After being rushed through paperwork and getting fitted for our helmets, we were given little to no information on where we were going, how long it would be or any general info about mounting the horse/how to hold the reigns/etc. After the woman yelled at my wife for not "doing it right" (this is after we explained our minimal horseback riding experience) we were off following our "guide". It was more of a "follow the leader" than a guided tour. The leader talked on his cell phone for the first 20min of the ride while we snaked through the urban area of Isabella II. (the only thing the that the "guide" pointed out was the quivering diseased leg of a passing wild horse....nice.) We spent about 85% of the ride in town and the rest on the beach, it takes awhile to get out of town from the hotel so I would not recommend this place to anyone who wants a true beach and trail experience. Go to guided tour on the Esperanza side for that! The beach segment was nice of course but it took a long time to finally get there and it was very brief. Maybe the actually ride would have left a better taste in our mouth if we weren't so hurried through the beginning process and treated so rudely by the staff.

Hello from New York City❣My husband and I finally got around to going on our honeymoon after 36 yrs!! We stayed at the Seagate Hotel and it was magical! The view was beautiful, the room was spotless clean. I loved the way it was decorated. I loved the Coqui's and the roosters. I loved and enjoyed all the great sounds , just loved it!! Penny picked us up at the ferry. I just loved her, she has the best personality, and just so absolutely welcoming! Thank you to the staff and Penny. The memory you left me with of that beautiful enchanted island carries me when I'm having a bad day. I can't wait to go back. Till we meet again❣

This place is fantastic. The hotel is either a 15min walk uphill from the ferry or a 3min drive. Hotel actually called us so that they could pick us up from the port. Place looks like half hotel half ranch which gives it a very rustic look. The room we stayed in was 2A and it was very compact. Everything was very clean. Breakfast is very minimal, fruits, boiled eggs, and coffee if memory serves right. We had an AC unit in the room but didn't even use it since it was cool enough with just the fan. There is a small fridge in the room. Staff was very, very kind and courteous. The property does a lot of pet rescue so there is a very sweet dog walking around. There are horses, chickens, and roosters as well. Wifi connection worked very well. TV channels work off of satellite reception so we would constantly lose the image. Might as well not even turn it on honestly. Would definitely stay here again.

Penny and Kelly (the owners) were incredibly nice and helped us find out how to get around the island as well as find what to do and even gave us beach towels and sunscreen
