Don't sign up to their membership system they send a lot of mail in an envelope that cannot be recycled. Please Anaconda switch to an email spam system instead of a physical mail system it's quite annoying when I have got a no junk mail sticker on my mailbox.

Great staff and great service. Stand behind their products as well
Female manager is abrupt and makes you feel unwelcome and like it's a hassle to ring up your purchases. Has happened more than once.

They used to be kind of really good, but the ratio of wanting to engage you in their BS vs. just getting stuff done is increasing..... For instance I had a deal lined up a while back and I came back to do it. I remembered the life style of the person I talked too but not their name... so I want and asked to be put through to that person, on the basis of their life style... and the guy knew immediately who I meant, and then asked "Oh and who are you?" and "What did you want to talk to them about?" - instead of just putting the call through. Why do I hate this - because it's both brainless, and it's inefficient. IF the call had been put through, I would have done the deal in 2 or 3 minutes. But he wants to tie me up, with all of his time wasting BS, which is a) Non productive, b) It does nothing to advance my cause and c) I really despise the process of discussing the ins and outs of everything, with all the intermediaries.... You know the BS, of talking to the receptionist, then the call center supervisor, then the manager of the call centre and then the persons departmental receptionist, and then the person secretary and then the last in a long line of idiots, that you actually wanted to talk too, in the first place. I am absolutely fed up with that kind of retarded BS.... And if you don't go along with the stupids BS, then out comes their fall back position of trying to screw you into compliance, "Oh you must pander to the neurotics and their BS". And stupid adds to stupid... and I refuse to play along with the crazies. It never dawns on them that there are degrees of necessity - ringing up to make preestablished transaction come through, with the person who it's been established with, only requires connection with that person, and not regurgitating the details with every intermediary who wants to get in the way... So I stuck to my guns, and the useless intermediary No.1 said that person is tied up, call back later. I called back later and the same useless individual answered the phone and tried to engage me in "Who are you - what is your name, and what are you calling about?" diatribe of pointlessness, and I refused..... I said, "Just put the call through." So he said, "Oh yeah, just putting you through." and then the manager - who is also one of these "sticky nosers" who wants to know the in's and out's that are a) Not relevant to the issue, and b) Are none of his business.... Having some low IQ customer service, followed up by more low IQ defence of the stupid, that is what you call rotting from the inside out. It's also really low IQ kinds of interpersonal skills..... We had some very terse words, and I told him, "You have just lost the contract" - and hung up on him. I called the head office to complain about Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee - and then found that they won't put you through to the person / dept. that handles complaints. What the management of Annaconda Australia have decreed is that they take notes, and then forward the issue on, and then they call you back and then we discuss everything that should have been discussed IF they had of put the call through then and there..... and then it takes 2 x and 3 x and 4 x as long as it should have, if they just had of put the call through. I told them to stick their "One person to get the bolt, one person to get the nut, one person to get the spanner and another to tighten it" method of operation..... I then contacted the manufacturer and they sent out the product I required, in the number I required, at no cost..... So kudos for the staff at Anaconda in Bendigo who run their business like a bad episode of Neigbours "Where everyone one gets in on the cheap drama" instead of just getting on with transferring the call and making the sale, and the management of the company that enforce the brain dead rot, instead of weeding it out.

I wander around Anaconda when my wife and mother-in-law are shopping at Spotlight. Anaconda has a good range of products - some I feel are on the high side where price is concerned. The staff are friendly.
