We wanted 10 lengths of 1meter chain cut and the female staff member said she's not sure if she could do that. Why, we asked . "It's a bit too time consuming". And then she asked twice if we had a cutter at home. Seriously? What else did she have to do while being paid to provide customer service? At least Bunnings keeps to a high level of mediocre service.

Bigstore. Usually always busy. Staff are more useful than most bunnings I have been to. Stock levels are high so chances you will be able to get what you are after.

Bunnings have such horrible customer care. I went in and asked for help to get timber down from the shelves and the person who was helping me told me he would be right back. I waited for 15 minutes but he never returned. When I went to the desk to ask what had happened, the lady told me that they can't get the timber down for me and I have to do it myself. Imagine that! I'm 5 foot 2". How in the world would I be able to get those things down without injuring myself!! I prefer Mitre 10 now. They have better customer service.

If you want help or service, avoid this Bunnings store like the plague! If you so much as look at one of the staff, they will do everything they can to avoid you unless you trap them behind a counter or in a corner! And, to add insult to injury, I was told by a trapped staff member, that the trade centre at Gepps Cross had the timber I needed in stock only to find when I arrived, they didn't have it. A quick phone call to check by the girl who served me would have saved me a trip out of my way for nothing! After all, she already had the details and the number in front of her as well as the phone in her hand and it wasn't as though there were any other customers waiting at the time.

This is a bloody great place even though it kinda pisses me off that they need to stamp my receipt every time I leave the store! But I do understand where they are coming from having coming from a retail background myself. This is a great place to shop and even though it can be a tad difficult to actually find a store assistant to give you a hand sometimes; when you find someone they are all very helpful indeed. The lady in the paint shop (I think her name is Linda) helped me paint my house even though it took me five long bloody weeks. It was sheer boredom and I had a first hand experience of purgatory! 😂 this place is great and I still have not had the sausage sizzle! 👍👍👍👍👍
