Getta Burger

Ate here Feb 25, 2018. Filthy Burger. Tasty burger and good value for money. This one is messy..lots of flavors including fries and pulled pork... but the burger stood up to that. You'll need lots of napkins. Bun was average and kinda fell apart with all the fillings...but hey... they call it "Filthy" for a reason. If you are hungry... this one is for you. I actually deconstructed it as I couldn't finish it. Outdoor seating area was average. Service was friendly.

We ordered two pigouts on a quiet Sunday for lunch. Here is what I learnt. If you want a really tasty burger definitely come here. The burgers are sensational. The only negative about the experience was the speed of delivery to our table after ordering, not so fast. You pay for quality, they are expensive but certainly better than the more well known burger options.

I love it, it's that sorta kind of food you eat just so you can feel disgusted with yourself, but in like the best kinda way possible. The young dude who served me last time was so nervous poor little thing, but I always have a great meal and a great time at gettaburger and the website is super responsive which I also enjoyed understanding that this is a relativity small and upcoming company.

Order placed at 2.52pm, food in my hand at 3.24pm. I would pose the question of whether a 32 minute wait is justifiable for a burger and fries, but it is superseded by the greater question of whether it is justifiable to take that long to complete such an order and somehow still manage to undercook the fries. It is a very strange take on the notion of slow-cooked food. Getta Burger seems to have become a shadow of its former self. Time was they were a bastion of indulgent pleasure food - massive burgers and mountainous serves of fries that required a voracious appetite to finish and put the run-of-the-mill fast food chains to shame at a price point that made the value proposition of other "gourmet" burger outlets questionable. Now it seems that as the business has grown, the burgers have shrunk (they certainly don't seem to pose the consumption challenge that they once did), and this has gone hand-in-hand with a diminishing standard of quality and service.

Only reason I give two stars the food quality. I couldn't get hold of them to place the order by phone (tried 5 times) so stopped at the shop. Not too busy, but the 4 staff behind the counter were more interested in chatting. Two melts took 40 mins... Not acceptable, actually piss poor!
