Carmens was highly recommended but we were disappointed in our night out. Service was not good, food was only ordinary and very cramped seating.

Disappointing. They were busy, (possibly allowed too many bookings) we waited an hour before our order was taken. The bar area was a mess.. However staff were always very friendly.
The menu options are limited (for Italian) and my meal (gnocchi) was described as being pumpkin gnocchi- but was in fact normal gnocchi with pumpkin chunks!...and pretty ordinary.
Really, every pub can do a Chicken Parma, Pasta or meatballs.
5 out of 5??? Hardly...
