Seven of us went to Lucy Liu for dinner tonight. We decided to go ahead with 5 dishes banquet and provided our dietary requirements. One person in the group could not eat pork and one person could not eat beef. They acknowledged that and explained that non-pork and non-beef dishes will be served to the members of our group who had the dietary requirements. Unfortunately one of the fish dishes had pork in it and everyone already ate it and we had to ask to confirm if there was pork in it as it was not obvious. We are not sure how can a fancy venue make such a mistake. One could almost think that it was deliberate. Naturally the night is ruined. Long story short, avoid this place if you have any dietary requirements as they will not respect that. Otherwise, you’ll probably be fine and have a good time.

We stumbled across Lucy Liu on our first trip in Melbourne but made a special effort to go back on our second trip. We will now make this a tradition to visit Lucy Liu every time we come to Melbourne.
We sat facing the kitchen and every dish looked amazing and we had to control ourselves to only order one more dish! Definitely order a variety of share plates. Every dish was fantastic.

A lovely dinner. We shared all dishes among the five of us. Perfect dishes from appetizers to deserts, with excellent meet and duck. Cool decor, not too noisy, friendly and professional service. All in all, very enjoyable evening (2.5 hours).

I dined here a fortnight ago with a friend and I highly recommend. I was concerned that it would be too loud as it's quite busy, but it was the most perfect atmosphere. We sat along the bar where we could watch the food getting cooked which was awesome! The staff were very friendly & informative with the food & wine, and helped us choose as we were unsure. Absolutely delicious food and our bill was surprisingly quite reasonable. I will definitely be returning in the future.

I really like this place! Staff are super friendly and really into what they do and how they do it! They know the menus items well (even though it changes) and usuallycan point you in the right direction if you struggle to choice what you'd like
Tad on the expensive side, but well worth it of course! Dumplings were amazing!
I'd have to try this place a second time round before passing on a 5 stars, which shouldn't be too hard!
