Been going to see Peter and Mimi for almost 40 years. They are my favourite Chinese Malaysian restaurant. Always the best food

A family-friendly Chinese-Malay restaurant with great food and plenty of 70s kitsch. Peter and Mimi will sit and chat and spoil the kids while you fill up on flavour. Wine menu is ordinary, but the food is quite reasonably priced. It's an archetypal village Chinese restaurant with no pretensions.

The best authentic Malaysian food and chinese dishes too. Malay Curry beef is a must, salt and pepper squid is amazing. ordered the spring rolls and they were great, homemade too. Other great dishes include laksa, assam seafood, duck in plum and the ginger shallot prawns too. All round great service and very family friendly. Take away available too.

I ordered a prawn omelet and a short soup to takeaway and the cost was $21.60 on their menu, but when the food arrived ten minutes longer than I was told, I was charged $26.60 and after I questioned the cost they said sorry as I was charged for king prawns by mistake. They then asked for $22.60 so I asked why as the menu in front of me stated $14.80 for omelet and $6.80 for soup, their answer oh we put the price up on our menu behind the counter where it is not advertised. I will not be going back and also the soup was laced with chilli????? and the omelet was awful...my dog might not agree!!!!!
