Starbucks

About the business

Starbucks Corporation is an American coffee company and coffeehouse chain. Starbucks was founded in Seattle, Washington in 1971. As of early 2019, the company operates over 30,000 locations worldwide.

History

The first Starbucks opened in Seattle, Washington, on March 31, 1971, by three partners who met while they were students at the University of San Francisco: English teacher Jerry Baldwin, history teacher Zev Siegl, and writer Gordon Bowker were inspired to sell high-quality coffee beans and equipment by coffee roasting entrepreneur Alfred Peet after he taught them his style of roasting beans.

Had a great experience at this Starbucks! Staff were friendly and attentive!! The barista Jacob was so sweet and he was efficient! We ended up having a nice conversation, I think its admirable that despite being so busy, he still took the time to talk, lovely man! Coffee was great as always! One thing I would like to ask Starbucks franchise is, I really want more seating areas, with proper individual tables, I love to sit there and enjoy my coffee with my family and friends but seating is always scarce. I think many would appreciate a larger cafe with lots of tables.

Pretty good, came early in the morning, so wait was short. Just like any other Starbucks really, nice music, powerpoints under tables, free wifi etc. Drinks are pretty overpriced. Might be back as I have meetings here.
