Minimum $10 for eftpos. What a disgrace. In this day an age, this should be illegal. Lock em up! Other than that, I feel that this is quite a nice place, with a nice view. As seen in the photo, the size to cost ratio is a little inconsistent. The medium size is only 50c cheaper than the large.

Cafe on the bay is undeniably the WORST Cafe that I have ever been too, and definitely the worst place to eat in Port Stephens. The quality of the food was awful. I ordered a simple breakfast meal, which was complete with a hair under my eggs, damp toasted bread, burnt bacon and a coffee that was completely cold. However, while the food was appalling, the service was worse. I witnessed a black haired women making coffee, screaming at one of her young female staff members, who was clearly new, demanding she be more useful, but seemed to be providing no guidance or help what so ever. To make it worse, she then snapped at me for asking for my coffee to be remade, saying “I made it the same as everyone else’s but whatever” grabbing the coffee off me. The service was also very slow, the tables were dirty and the environment was dull. I could go on but my points been made. If I could rate the place lower than 1 Star I would. A hopeless Cafe run by rude people 👎

Good service and reasonable food. The coffee here is terrible, although the ice coffee is ok. The sweet selection is pretty good and most of the ones I’ve tried have been really nice. Scones, jam and cream here are great and would recommend these. The breakfast meals I’ve had here are also good. I would recommend this place.

Absolutely dreadful! Avoid! The food was horrible, cold and took forever to be served. No wonder they charge up front - otherwise most would walk out. The first meal took approximately 45 minutes to arrive, and the other 3 followed some 20 minutes after that. The coffee was disgusting and the eggs benedict the worst I've ever had. The experience spoiled our weekend away. If I could give no stars I would.

A beautiful location and lovely breakfast. Service was great. Coffee hot and strong just as it should be. Looking forward to coming again.
