Very good value meals in this 60's era motel. Formally a Hydro Tasmania village. A time capsule in some respects.

I'm really biased because i come here a lot and the staff are all friends. The view is awesome, its at the foot of the Tiers on the way up to the great lake overlooking the valley and the mountains. The architecture exudes mid centre modem as Poatina was built to service the hydro. After a period as a ghost town it is now home to an arts colony, including glass works.

Wonderful hospitality! Reset and looked at the great views having a delicious coffee and a massive big breakfast! Got us up the mountain on our bikes after. Thanks Rohan

Retro 1960's town with true genuine hospitality. Enjoy a snack and coffee at either The Tiers Tearooms or The View cafe. Dinner at the View Restaurant. Stay a few days and enjoy the magic surroundings in motel, backpacker accommodation or draw up a van.
