About the business

McDonald's is an American fast food company, founded in 1940 as a restaurant operated by Richard and Maurice McDonald, in San Bernardino, California, United States. They rechristened their business as a hamburger stand, and later turned the company into a franchise, with the Golden Arches logo being introduced in 1953 at a location in Phoenix, Arizona. In 1955, Ray Kroc, a businessman, joined the company as a franchise agent and proceeded to purchase the chain from the McDonald brothers. McDonald's had its original headquarters in Oak Brook, Illinois, but moved its global headquarters to Chicago in early 2018.

The siblings Richard and Maurice McDonald opened in 1940 the first McDonald's at 1398 North E Street at West 14th Street in San Bernardino, California but it was not the McDonald's recognizable today; Ray Kroc made changes to the brothers' business to modernize it.

McDonald's Sunbury is ok. The reason why I only gave it 3 stars at this time was because of the renovations that they were having as it made it a bit inconvenient and type to move around especially when it was busy. But the staff have always been five stars worth, very helpful very polite and well-trained. Have to give a big shout out to the managers as I do a great job

I had a wonderful experience here last week! Came with my 3yo and mum for lunch. Very clean, food ordered was correct and customer service from one female employee was EXCEPTIONAL!! Ordered a 'happy meal' for my son and as he's collecting the trains/ carriages ( that come with the happy meals) I kindly asked the female employee if she had a particular train that he was missing for his collection which she replied she will see what's left. Upon her return, to my surprise, she returned with several of them ( like about 10 lol) and to my sons delight, he chose 2 to complete his collection. This may not be of importance for anybody else but the look on my sons face, when the employee said he can have both, was a very delightful one! Just want to say THANK YOU for going out of your way and putting a big smile on my little boys face and THANK YOU for exceptional customer service with our order. Job well done 👍👏😃🍔🍟🚂

The young woman on the drive thru window was very rude and ill-mannered and we had to report her to the manager. Not the sort of thing you want to be doing at breakfast time. Therefore this McDonald's only gets two stars, if it happens again I will change it to one star.

Easy parking, good , my choice, food. Paper to read. Clean restaurant and toilets and affordable price. Open extended hours and great drive through. Secure, well lit at night.

Fast service and plenty of seating. Could do with some more "comfy" seating, in line with Maccas push to be a restaurant and not just a fast food joint. Access is easy and ample parking out the back.
