I would rate lower if I could. I went to Telstra to disconnect my account halfway through January, well within that months billing period, apparently this was not done as i have received another bill. I rang up to sort the issue out and was asked if I would like the number for the Telstra Service Centre. It seems to me that the staff member purposely failed to disconnect my account as any queries would invariably be passed onto the call centre. Incompetence is too good a word for this Telstra representative.

I waited here for 10 minutes while 4 staff members laughed and chatted to themselves so I took my business to JB hi-fi other end of the shops... Better deals there anyway

This would have to be the worst Tesltra store in Australia - while there a few great sales people who work there , the store management is terrible ! The store very rarely answers thier phones , I wanted to make an appointment to upgrade my phone and was told it would be 1 week until the next available appointment , although I could walk in but there is a wait time up to 4 hours. In the same shopping complex is Optus I suggest you make your way down there :-)

If only we could rate with a zero star! Such a wait; I feel sorry for these staff. To top it off, walk just 100metres away to Optus to get better service, a cheaper price, and keep your existing number...

27/12/17: I went in the Rockhampton store and requested a plan and sim change. When it came nutrient to be served the staff member approached me I explained what I required. She then spoke to the woman behind me for several minutes, then Appleton a man after her, and then proceeded to approach another 2 customers, I excused my self and explained that I was in a hurry and I required her assistance.She stated that is not the way we do things here.
Anyhow she stuffed up the sim/plan change.
28/12/17: I went back to the same store to have my issue fixed, the same young woman came up to me and I informed her that she had made a mistake the previous day, her reply was 'No I didn't, I did as you requested'.
I ask to speak to the store manager, she stated thatbshe was, I said you are kidding.
She refused to resolve my issue, telling me I need to return in 45minutes and she would have a staff member assist me.
I explained that I was on limited time and as she was available I expected that she could and should assist me.
She refused and turned rudely turned away and I stated how inappropriate her conduct was.
She called over security.
After work I went to Yeppoon where the staff and especially the manager were very competent and my issue was sorted in less the about 15minutes.
The staff that I spoke to in the Rockhampton Telstra store were both incompetent and very mis-informed in regard to number ports/churnings.
I have lodged a formal complaint in regards to the rude,ignorant and highly incompetent store manager.
